On Why I Won't be Blogging Every Day Anymore

My life has seemed impossibly busy over the past year, and recently it got even busier. Yes, that means additional responsibilities on top of teaching, writing a book, trying to get tenure, taking care of 3 kids, cooking, cleaning, putting together a cookbook, running a home bakery, and blogging on daily basis. Something has to give. In this case, the daily blogging. My plan is still to post 4 times a week or so, but I just can't keep up my current pace. There are, of course, 471 other posts for you to sift through. They're not all gems, but there are some great recipes I would like to revisit and I'm sure you will enjoy.

I understand... take care of your family and home! Trust me - someday all those kids will move out and you'll have waaaaay too much time on your hands for stuff like this :)

Oh yeah, I've been amazed at your daily blogging... thinking "how does he do it!?" Daily blogging is fun, but given your full load, it sounds like the right one to bump. :)

It happens to all of us sometimes (I'm lucky if I blog once a week and I don't do half the things you manage to achieve in a day!).

We're just happy for the yummies whenever they may arrive :)

There is wisdom in this. You certainly have given a well rounded basis for vegan dishes which gives a spring board for individual creativity.

Oh Vegan Dad; you'd have to be Houdini to keep up this pace. I love your blog/recipes and appreciate what you post. However many times you post isn't necessarily important, I think, because your blog is interesting and timely.

I agree about the posts, there are too many other important things for you to do and I've got to still go through all of your other recipes and see what I want to make!!

You gotta take care of yourself, VeganDad! I'll miss your daily blogging but you need to look out for yourself and your family, first. Take care and I'll be looking forward to your posts whenever you have the time for them! **Still very excited for the cookbook!!**

Wow, it's amazing you've been able to keep up this blogging pace as long as you have! All the best of luck with your book, cookbook, and tenure!

Quite honestly Vegan Dad, I often wondered how you found the time in the first place. I read you blog while I eat lunch at the high school I teach at, and I look forward to it. I do sift through old entries and am currenlty in June of 08. Thanks for all the inspiration.

Hey Vegan Dad, we are happy with whatever you have time and energy to share.
It's all about balance, and it's good to hear that you are finding yours!

I love all your posts. Definitely a couple a week would be sufficient! It's hard work just trying to keep up with you!

Thanks for all the great stuff.

What? You mean you're NOT superhuman? :). I still don't know how you managed until now. Many many thanks for all your hard work. We all are very appreciative!

Wow Vegan Dad, you do have your hands full. Blogging 4 times a week is still a lot....I probably only post that many times...we'll still check back all the time.

No worries, Vegan Dad. Do what you need to do. Besides four times a week is still at least three times more than most blogs. We'll enjoy your posts whenever you can share them. Thanks!!

I'll miss the daily posts....but life comes first!! Take time for yourself, we'll still be here!!

Hey, that list doesn't seem so important! You should definitely give up the teaching or the taking care of your kids so that you can still do daily blogs!

Haha just kidding, you really sound like you have a full plate! Good luck with everything, and I'll still check back daily anyway, just to make sure I don't miss a post :-)

I don't know how you keep up the pace! No matter how much you post, I will continue to visit your excellent blog!

Vegan Dad,
I was wondering how you were able to do it all...Your blog should be called the SUPER VEGAN DAD :-)

I love your blog...I wish my kids would like your recipes as much as my husband and I do....

Vegandad, you have done an amazing load of work for free for us to enjoy so there is no need to apologize for anything. Your vegan lunch "meat" has become a staple in my fridge, and I've even submitted to your tempeh meatballs despite not being a great tempeh fan. I truly enjoy your blog and thank you for all your work. I look forward to the forthcoming e-book!

Wow. That is an amazing amount of stuff when you see it all in print. I only post 3-4 times a week and I certainly am not trying to balance so many things. Good luck!

You'll be missed! I'm a vegetarian dad, thinking about vegan, and my little girl is just getting used to solid foods. I've got a slew of your entries bookmarked for us to try together as she grows up.

Good luck! Thank you for everything that you've done and take care of yourself!

I'm amazed you have managed to post so frequently! Good luck with the book-writing and the tenure-getting.

I have three kids - a full time job, a full time volunteer career and a husband that travels. I check out your website about four times a week - so it's perfect!

Please get tenure so the stress is ameliorated and we get you back!

Take care and with love,

I just found this blog; I will definitely go ahunting to see what I can find!

I'm a vegan mom with a special-needs toddler and the most wonderful boyfriend ever, nevermind his carnivorous ways, lol. I'm also a full-time college student, studying to be a physical therapist assistant. It's a busy, busy schedule; I feel like I'm never home sometimes these days!

Thanks for posting what you can!
