That's Why We Don't Eat Animals

One of the great things about blogging is that you get to meet all sorts of interesting people. One such person is Ruby Roth, a talented author and illustrator who is publishing a new kids' book, That's Why We Don't Eat Animals. As you can see, the illustrations are fantastic, and the message is spot on. So for all you Vegan Dads and Moms out there, check out her website and the video below.

Thanks for letting us know! I'll definitely be buying that for my daughter for whn she's a little older (she's just 6 months old). It'll be great not only for her to understand why we're vegan but also to one day share at school so her classmates understand too.

This is fabulous! It's been added to my Amazon wishlist and I've made a note to buy it as soon as it comes out so I can add it to my Kindergarten classroom library! My kids are always really curious about me being a vegetarian, this will be perfect! Thanks for sharing! -e

that book looks just lovely! thanks for sharing. so often people will ask me if I will "force" my future children to be vegan. I think that, given the choice and information, most children will follow their heart, just like Ruby says. I don't think there's any "forcing" about it. what was it like for your kids embracing a vegan diet?

Thank you for sharing this. I wonder sometimes how my children, when they start school, will explain to other children why they don't eat animals and their products. I think that this children's book is a good start. The illustrations look great. I can't wait to find a copy. Thanks!

Thank you so much for sharing this. What a wonderful book to have and to share with other kids.
The only book that I've found for kids was Claude and Media by Zoe Weil, which is good but not for real young kids. Thanks again!

This looks like a beautiful book. I don't have children but hopefully will one day and this is something I hope to share with them. I'm a great believer in people having the knowledge to make their own decisions in life and understanding why they make the choices they do. This certainly hits that point and starts people thinking at a young age about their impact on our earth. Great work! I can't wait until I can get my hands on a copy. I'm in Australia so may have to be a bit patient before it hits our shores...in failing that may have to order my copy on the net to be delivered straight to my door!
