Tonight's post comes to you courtesy of Son #1. He created this recipe, made it, staged it, photographed it, and wrote down the recipe. To say he was excited is a bit of an understatement. He was so proud of his accomplishment and kept going on and on about how he was going to be a chef just like Dad. It really was heartwarming.
INGREDIENTS
Serves 6
- 3 cups frozen peach slices
- 3/4 cup crushed ice
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 cups vanilla soy
METHOD
1. Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
Here is his original recipe.

My son loves smoothies, so I'll give this recipe a try. How great that your son was inspired by what you do! Great job Son #1!
Adorable! I especially like the lego shark in the picture - obviously it adds a touch of awesome-ness.
Aw! That sounds fabulous!
That is adorable!
I've been craving peaches lately. The recipe looks delicious. I'd add some sunwarrior protein in and make it a meal-to-go/dessert in one
LOVE it! That's so cute :)
Aww so sweet!
oh so cuuute! good on you: getting your children involved and teaching them about healthy foods: In my opinion teaching kids about their health and body is one of the TOP most important things when parenting them. It helps them live long, healthy and rich lives: all fun things starts whit our health being good enough to go do them right?? hugs to you guys! keep it up!
That is just adorable. And this smoothie looks so tasty! Really love your blog, keep up the good work!
Sandra from Estonia.
Yay son number 1!
I love this post! Your son concocted a delicious-sounding peach smoothie and I hope he keeps on dreaming up yummy ideas :).
Another *wonderful* looking recipe, as usual. And please tell Son #1 that his photo staging is perfect--particularly the Lego shark =)
How sweet! And yummy sounding too!

That is cute and sweet. :) My neice likes to cook with me, and warms my heart, too!
So cute!
Congrats! Nicely done. I LOVE a good peach smoothie! And its just about the same exact recipe but with a touch of vanilla.
Can't wait to see some more recipes come along from son #1. :)
I'm impressed. I love the colours in the photo. I really must freeze some of my peaches for smoothies instead of giving them away!
A glass of adorable. I'm making that when I get home.
Yum! What a great recipe! Sweet and peachy, perfect for after a workout. Tell Son #1 he's on his way to being a super (vegan) chef!

That is so sweet. I can't wait to try it!
Children have such great potential. Tell Son #1 I'm going to try his peach smoothie tonight. It sounds so good.
I heard someone say this on 100 Huntley Street-"Encouragement is Oxygen for the Soul" so true.
Have a great Labour Day weekend!!
Very cool! I have some peaches sitting right here and I know I have the sugar and the vanilla soy....
Thanks VeganDad's Son#1.
;-)
The shark is a lovely accent! :)
Wonderful job! I guess this means that I have to finally let my kids post their recipes online. Oh, the pressure!
awwww....that's so sweet.
Sounds delicious!!!!
Oh, how sweet! And delicious. Thank you to the amazing chef!
So incredibly sweet. Good job inspiring your son!
xo
That is adorable! I love that he wrote out the recipe and staged it!
Dear "Son #1"
You saved me! I had cut up some peaches yesterday to use in a fruit salad last night. Then, something came up and I didn't get to eat them. By this morning, they were a bit too mushy. What to do?
As luck would have it, your recipe came up on my home page. Perfect!
I rarely use sugar or milk in my fruit smoothies (I like berries and juice many mornings). But I made it as you suggested, and you were right.
Here's to a great chef in the making!
Thanks,
sailingwicky
That sounds yummy! I love the little shark peaking out from behind the flower in the picture!
Excellent job, Son #1!!! This looks absolutely delicious. You have quite an eye for photography too! I love the sunflower and peaches.
Might I ask if the lego shark was intentional? It adds a nice touch.
This is perfect timing, we have an abundance of peaches ripening on the sideboard right now. Huge thanks to your son for the very timely recipe, it looks very tasty!
WONDERFUL recipe son #1!! A great chef is in the making! (GREAT picture too - love the shark!)
Tell your son he created a beautiful photo and the smoothie sounds very appealing!
I haven't tried the recipe yet, but tell him he did a bang up job with the picture!
As they say, the apple does not fall far from the tree!
I recently spent a weekend with vegans and was very much surprised at how delicious the cuisine can be, so it was nice to come across your site when I was searching for vegan gardeners. With peach season coming up for me, what you've shared here and in the previous post will come in handy!
Hello from Finland! I have never thought of freezing peaches! Do you freeze them as they are, or do you peel or steam first? This recipe sounds great, thumbs up for Son #1!
Very cool! I've just gotten into smoothies and I'll try this one tomorrow.
His picture looks sooooo professional!
Yum! I think I know what I'll be having during my ice bath after my next long run.
Great photo!
Son #1, what a fantastic recipe! Great pic too, the shark is certainly a nice touch. I look forward to VeganSon blog in the future. :)
