Tim Horton Was a Vegan?

OK, so maybe Tim himself was not a vegan, but some of his baked goods are. I was browsing through the What Do Vegans Eat? blog and noticed a post about vegan muffins at Tim Horton's.
I did a little quick research on the Tim Horton's website to confirm that all the Low Fat Muffins are vegan, as are the oatcakes and sandwich buns. This may come as welcome news to many of my Canadian readers, and a few American ones as well.

wow, that's DEFINITELY shocking - I would have never guessed that Tim Horton's baked goods were vegan. Maybe the other "baked good connoisseurs" will follow suit :0)

It was one of the first things I checked when I went vegan and being Canadian...The muffins are a little scary - and personally I like to make my own but in a crunch it is guaranteed to be there and it tastes a whole lot less chemical/wrong than the Starbucks brownie. Leave it to the Canadian company to care about all it's patrons.

Actually, Tim Horton's is an American company now. It was bought out by Wendy's. The head office is in Dublin, Ohio, just outside of Columbus where we used to live.

And, yes, the muffins are a little scary. Ha ha.
