Hot Chocolate

I will probably say this a lot over the next few months: it's cold outside! Yesterday we achieved booger-freezing cold--that special temperature where one sniff and your nose is frozen shut. There is no better way to warm up after shovelling the driveway than this creamy hot chocolate.

Makes 2 big honkin' cups, like those pictured here

- 4 cups chocolate soy milk
- 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips
- 2 tsp vanilla
- sugar to taste
- pinch of salt

1. Combine all ingredients in a pot an whisk over high heat until steamy and frothy.

YUM! i might be trying this very, very soon... i am a sucker for hot chocolate.

i wonder how chocolate and carob would taste together? because i'm thinking about subbing carob chips for the chocolate... haha.

Vannie: glad the cocoa is appealing, even in Texas (where, I assume, hot drinks don't have a large following). BTW, I have really been enjoying your blog--everyone here thinks I am nuts as I sit at the computer bursting out in repeated guffaws.
