Thank You, Visitors from Far and Wide

One month ago today I put a hit counter on this blog to see how many hits it was getting, and where my visitors were coming from. In that month almost 6000 people clicked over to Vegan Dad from a wide variety of places: Singapore, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the UK, France, Spain, Australia, Ecuador, Chile, the U.S. and Canada. Most came from the PPK blog (thanks, Isa), some through other food blogs, and some from Google looking for vegan chicken pot pie, tofu recipes, and "hot older dads" (I am sure that person was pretty disappointed to find only food porn).

So, thanks to everyone who has visited. It is encouraging to see such an interest in vegan cooking and I enjoy the chance to network with vegans all over the world. I'll keep blogging away as much as I can.

I found your blog recently through PPK. As a new vegan trying to learn as much about vegan cooking as I can, your blog has been very helpful to me! I love how often you update it, and as a college student I appreciate your healthy yet realistic meals. I am looking forward to seeing your holiday recipes (especially "something with chestnuts") as I will be cooking my first full vegan meal for my non-vegan family sometime this holiday season. Keep up the fabulous work!

Congratulations on so many visitors. I'm one of those newbies who just discovered your blog this month (probably from some other vegan blogger). I've really been enjoying it and I think that you have an awesome blog. We need more parents like you who are dedicated to their family's health.

Thanks for blogging!

I'm a vegetarian from California, and I discovered your site through the PPK. I've only visited a few times and I haven't tried any of your recipes YET, but I've got you bookmarked. Great blog!

I am glad that you can see how many people are enjoying reading your delicious posts! I love your blog and enjoy reading every new post! I love that you cook such great meals for your kids, it makes it seem possible to raise healthy vegan kids in a non-vegan world.

Thanks!

Well, I'm an omnivore, but since I'm an old friend of Vegan Dad, I do find myself dropping by occasionally to see what's for dinner in northern Ontario.

And the food porn aspect is intriguing enough to make me rethink tofu. Maybe.

Great stuff, sir. Glad you're well.

Agathe: merci beaucoup! Man, do I ever wish I was more studious in French class so I could write something more intelligent.

Les: great to hear from you, and I am glad you stop by the blog every now and then. Mission "proselytize among the omnis" accomplished. We will have to meet up with you next time we are in town visiting The Doctor.

I'm one of the newbies too.

Am loving the recipes, and really like the fact that it is a male's vegan food blog as there aren't many and it makes a great change from all the vegan mums blogs. I'm trying to persuade my partner to start a food blog as he does most of the cooking.

I use a web counter from Blog Flux. You can click on it yourself--look for the "Map Stats" button at the bottom of the right hand side of my blog (small orange button). I am happy with it, and I like that it shows the geographical distribution of hits to my blog.
